Grow for the Birds: Creating Community Habitats with Jennifer Tyrrell of Audubon South Carolina

Join Jennifer Tyrrell, a Master Bird Bander with degrees from Coastal Carolina and the College of Charleston, for an engaging workshop on building bird-friendly communities. With experience at organizations like Wild Birds Unlimited, The Center for Birds of Prey, and The Citadel, Jennifer brings a deep passion for birds, native plants, and conservation.

In this workshop, you'll learn how native plants are vital for supporting birds and biodiversity, along with practical tips to create bird-friendly yards, homes, and communities. Jennifer will also share the inspiring story behind the creation of Native Plant Week, from its beginnings at the Governor’s Mansion in Columbia to sparking a statewide movement.

Together, let’s build spaces that welcome birds, support wildlife, and connect our communities to nature—one plant at a time! Don't miss this inspiring and practical event.
