Veggies for the Fall with Rita Bachmann 08/29/2020; 10am-11:30am

Did you know we can grow vegetables throughout the entire fall and winter here in the Lowcountry? This class, led by Rita Bachmann of Rita’s Roots, is designed for those gardeners that want to hone their fall gardening skills. Topics include: Amending the soil before fall planting, an in-depth look at the veggies that are specific to fall and winter growing – onions, garlic, strawberries, collards, brussels, celery, fennel, spinach; fall pests + disease management, frost and freeze protection and more.  Attendees will receive a fall planting calendar.  We will go over briefly how to set up a garden and save time for a Q & A with Rita.
