Evergreen (only in frost free areas) clumping perennial with strappy, glossy green leaves to 20″ and deep purple flowers in 4″ clusters on 3-4′ stems in late spring through summer. Tends to have a longer bloom season than most Agapanthus. Attractive to hummingbirds. Plant in full sun. Give good drainage and average water. Drought tolerant once established. Easy to grow. Deer resistant. USDA zones 7-10 in cold hardiness.
