Evergreen (in frost free areas) or deciduous tropical elephant ear with dark green pointed leaves and dark purple/black stems and trunk. This selection grows to around 3′ tall and wide in a season. Plant in full sun or light shade. Give average to consistent water. Give good drainage. Deer resistant. Easy to grow. USDA zones 8-10 in cold hardiness.
