Leslie Harris: Thoughtful Gardening: how to combine sustainability with beauty in the garden.

The Charleston Horticultural Society is pleased to announce the upcoming lecture featuring Leslie Harris, a renowned expert in thoughtful gardening.

Leslie Harris is the host of the gardening podcast “Into the Garden with Leslie”. Her first act, after growing up in Alexandria and graduating from the University of Virginia, was as a teacher and coach at Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT, where she and her husband lived for over 30 years. In 2014 they moved back to Charlottesville where she started a fine gardening business called LH Gardens which eventually serviced over 50 clients with a crew of seven gardeners. In 2021 she decided to concentrate on her podcast, consulting services, horticultural presentations – and her own garden.

“Into the Garden with Leslie” is an informative and fun show, with guests who represent many aspects of the world of gardening. Leslie continues to learn more about gardening every day and she loves to share that knowledge as she speaks to groups about what she has learned, particularly in terms of being thoughtful about our land. Listen to her podcast here.

We have a special treat for Leslie’s workshop on Tuesday, May 7 - Boxwoods and Bites - learn more here.
