CHS HORT in the GARDEN at ELIZABETH STUART
AN ENHANCED WORKSHOP SERIES
We are thrilled to continue our new partnership with our friends at ELIZABETH STUART, the beautiful home, garden, arts and antiques store in Mt. Pleasant. This fall we introduced a new series of enhanced workshops taught by leading garden and design experts, held on site in the stunning ES garden, conservatory and interior showroom. While the retail store has been a staple of Charleston for over two decades, the garden is new and lush with an impressive variety of plants and other ‘uncommon and magical objects’ certain to appeal to the avid gardener in us all.

For the Love of Boxwoods
On December 13 Trevor Curtis, Elizabeth Stuart’s brand new Garden Manager, will share his insights and enthusiasm for boxwoods. Specifically, Trevor will present a workshop that also features his preferred product, Topbuxus, a fungicide that will treat boxwood blight and fertilize. He will talk about how and when to use it as well as maintenance tips and overall best practices.
Trevor will then present some inspiring ideas for potted boxwoods and how to consider using them for a twist on your traditional holiday and Christmas décor or as a way to mix things up. Trevor will provide details on the products he presents, as well as a recommended boxwood schedule to aid any boxwood enthusiast!
Guests will enjoy mimosas and light bites upon arrival. 10% of sales from the day will again be donated to CHS Hort!
This will be a socially distanced event. Masks are required. Space is limited.
ABOUT TREVOR CURTIS
Trevor Curtis is originally from Virginia and grew up near Abingdon. From an early age, he spent his free time outdoors. Both his great-grandmother and grandmother were landscape designers and guided his interests for gardening, design, and plants. After more than five years abroad, he returned to Virginia where he oversaw a nursery, garden store, and design business in Bristol. Most recently, he moved to Charleston and joined the ELIZABETH STUART team. He was drawn to the sui generis nature of the historic architecture and gardens of Charleston.
