This event is rain or shine!

Following in the footsteps of our first study of the season at the garden of Nancy Hart, we will present another exciting, in-person, outdoor and socially distanced garden experience in the garden of one of Charleston’s most sought after garden experts and private gardeners, CHS Hort member Beth McGinty.

Beth will welcome attendees, in two groups of 25, with a rare glimpse into her vast and inspiring Mt. Pleasant garden getaway where attendees will be arranged for safe and comfortable social distancing. The study will feature a discussion on the evolution of Beth’s 25 year old garden located in Snee Farm in Mt. Pleasant. The garden grew as the family matured, with soccer and basketball spaces becoming part of the garden, continuing to change and evolve along with the homeowners’ busy lives.

Attendees will experience a walking tour of the garden, which will be broken up into five sections for easier touring and smaller group access. Each group of give attendees will rotate throughout the five sections of the garden. Garden docents and homeowners will be present to answer questions and identify plants.

Light refreshments will be included. All guests will be provided with a list of all of plants now in the garden.

Although this is an outdoor event, masks use is recommended and appreciated.
